Patti Croft Reappointed to the Board of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan on an Interim Basis

TORONTO, April 29, 2025 - Steve McGirr, the Chair of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, is pleased to announce the reappointment of Patti Croft to the board. Ms. Croft was appointed by the Ontario Teachers’ Federation (OTF), and will serve in an interim capacity from May 1, 2025, up to December 31, 2025. This reappointment follows the recent resignation of former Board member Tim Hodgson to run as a candidate in the federal election.

Ms. Croft’s return in an interim capacity will help ensure a seamless transition and continued expertise while the OTF, one of the plan’s two sponsors, conducts a search for a permanent appointment.

Ms. Croft brings a wealth of experience in global macroeconomics and finance to the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan board. She is former Chief Economist at RBC Global Asset Management, Phillips, Hager and North, Sceptre Investment Counsel, and TD Canada Trust. Ms. Croft's other board experience includes the Ontario Pension Board and the Boilermakers' National Pension Plan Canada. Ms. Croft holds the Institute of Corporate Directors Designation (ICD.D) and earned a BA in Economics from the University of Toronto.
